County Mayo on the west coast of Ireland is the traditional home of generations of farmers and fishers. Unfortunately, County Mayo is also near the Corrib gas field and Shell Oil wanted to build a gas pipeline through the private lands of the farmers.

Since 2005, Global Community Monitor has been working with activists, including Goldman Prize winner Willie Corduff, to raise awareness about the pipeline and support efforts to prevent it.
